About OpenRA

OpenRA is an open-source real-time strategy game that is based on the classic Command & Conquer series. It was developed by a community of volunteers and released under the GPLv3 license.
OpenRA features a range of units, structures, and technologies from the original Command & Conquer games, as well as additional content developed by the community. Players can choose to play as one of several factions, each with their own unique units and abilities.

OpenRA Game Modes

The game includes a singleplayer campaign and various multiplayer modes, including skirmish, cooperative, and competitive play.
OpenRA supports multiplayer games for up to 8 players. In multiplayer games, players can choose to play as one of the available factions and compete against each other or work together in cooperative or skirmish modes.
In addition, to traditional multiplayer modes, OpenRA also includes support for replay sharing, allowing players to share and watch replays of their games with others. The game also has a built-in matchmaking system that allows players to find and join games with other players.

OpenRA Mods

OpenRA includes support for mods, which are user-created modifications that can change or add to the content of the game. Mods can be used to change the gameplay mechanics, add new units, structures, and technologies, or alter the visual appearance of the game.

There are a wide variety of mods available for OpenRA, ranging from small balance changes to major overhauls of the game. Some mods are based on other real-time strategy games or popular franchises, while others are completely original creations.

To install a mod in OpenRA, you will need to download the mod files and place them in the appropriate directory on your computer. The exact location of the mod directory will depend on your operating system and how you installed OpenRA. You can find more information on installing mods in the OpenRA documentation or by asking the OpenRA community for assistance.

Once a mod is installed, you can select it from the game’s mod selection menu to play the game with the mod enabled. You can create your own mods for OpenRA using the game’s modding tools, which are available on the OpenRA website.
