Sony has recently announced a list of six free PlayStation games that are schedule for release on the PlayStation Network. The free PlayStation games will be available for download on the network starting on January 3, 2017 and include four free PlayStation 4 games, two free PlayStation 3 games and four free PlayStation Vita games.
Each month Sony releases a few number of games for free, basically allowing gamers a month to try out free full versions of games on the PlayStation Network. Many of these are smaller independent games which many times offer an excellent gaming experience. January’s game list includes the following
- Day of the Tentacle Remaster (PS4, PS Vita) – Also known as Maniac Mansion II: Day of the Tentacle this is a remastering of the classic LucasArts graphic adventure game and sequel to Maniac Mansion.
- The Swindle (PS4, PS3, PS Vita) – A stealth action game released in 2015 that has been described as a “steampunk cyber crime caper” where players break into buildings, hack computer systems, steal money and making their getaway before the police capture them.
- This War of Mine: The Little Ones (PS4) – This War of Mine is a wartime survival experience/adventure simulation game. This expansion is unique as it is “played” through the eyes of a child.
- Titan Souls (PS4, PS Vita) – Titan Souls is an action/adventure game played from a top down perspective in which players have the objective of defeating nineteen monsters while being equipped with a single arrow. Players can also only take one hit before being defeated.
- Blazerush (PS3) – Top down vehicular combat game released in 2014 and featuring themed tracks, three game modes, and split screen multiplayer.
- Azkend 2 (PS Vita) – A puzzle game in the style of Bejeweled and Candy Crush.
Remember these games will only be available during the month of January so be sure to head on over to the free game section of the PlayStation Store on January 3rd to take advantage. You also have about two days left to take advantage of the free games that have been available for the month of December 2016, including titles such as Invisible, Inc., Stories: The Path of Destinies and four others.
