Delta Force just turned two, and Team Jade isn’t letting the occasion pass quietly. During a special anniversary broadcast on September 26, 2026, Game Director Shadow pulled back the curtain on the Delta Force 2027 roadmap, a hefty slate of content spanning the game’s Operations, Warfare, and brand-new Detonation modes. Toss in fresh social features, deeper Operator storytelling, and the next stage of the competitive scene, and it’s clear the free-to-play tactical shooter is treating its second birthday as a launchpad rather than a victory lap.

Some of it is playable right now. The rest maps out where the game is heading through early next year. Here’s everything revealed for the free-to-play shooter, from the live anniversary update to the ambitious plans waiting in 2027.

Season Reorientation and the anniversary rewards

The celebration kicked off with Season Reorientation, the first phase of the anniversary push, and it’s live now. The update threads a run of quality-of-life fixes through Operations and Warfare, including cross-region matchmaking, a handy One-Click Loadout option, and a rebuilt tutorial for newcomers. None of that grabs headlines the way a new mode does, but these are exactly the kind of grease-the-gears changes that keep a live shooter feeling good to boot up.

There’s loot on the table too. The anniversary celebrations began on September 26 and hand out up to 3,900 limited-time Delta Tickets, the Golden State Legendary AUG weapon appearance, and a spread of other anniversary-themed rewards. If you’ve been meaning to jump back in, this is a generous window to do it.

Detonation brings bomb-defusal to Delta Force

The big playable addition is Detonation, a new 5v5 mode that finally gives Delta Force the classic bomb-defusal format. One team attacks, racing to plant an explosive on a site, while the other defends, either stopping the plant outright or defusing the device before it blows. It’s a tried-and-true structure, and fans of the tense round-by-round chess of Counter-Strike 2 will slot into it immediately.

Detonation opened as a global beta on September 27 for PC and mobile players, with console access following later in 2026. Team Jade has been upfront that this is a work in progress, wanting feedback from beta players to shape the mode before its full release. So if you’ve got opinions on how it plays, now’s the time to make them heard.

Siege: Valkyrie splits a city in two

The headline of the 2027 plans is Siege: Valkyrie, a new map for the extraction-focused Operations mode arriving in early 2027 and built using Unreal Engine 5 features. It’s set in a city under siege, carved in two by a towering city wall. Inside sits an opulent but dangerous inner district. Outside, a harsher struggle for survival and scarce resources. Each half plays by its own rules, risks, and rewards.

The most intriguing wrinkle is a first for the game. Siege: Valkyrie will let players from different difficulty tiers drop into the same match, splitting them across those two zones for a wildly different experience depending on where you land. Team Jade is pitching it as a high-stakes Operations playground where nothing is predictable, and on paper it’s the boldest thing on the whole roadmap.

Warfare gets an Unreal Engine 5 glow-up

Warfare, Delta Force’s large-scale combined-arms mode, isn’t being left out of the UE5 treatment. The mode is getting a feature upgrade of its own, and a new Unreal Engine 5-enhanced Warfare map is due in November. Nicknamed The Mog, it leans into a Black Hawk Down-style convoy scenario that should feel right at home for anyone who loves the sprawling, vehicle-heavy chaos of something like Battlefield 6.

It follows The Coliseum, the map added back in the Season Meltdown update over the summer, so Warfare fans have had a steady drip of new battlegrounds to learn. That cadence doesn’t look like it’s slowing down.

Operators get room to breathe

Not everything on the roadmap is about gunfights. Team Jade is fleshing out the cast of Operators with Operator Archives, a lore series whose first volume is already out, digging into the backstories of the game’s roster. Coming in early 2027 are Operator Quarters, social spaces where you can kick back and breathe between matches rather than bouncing straight from one firefight to the next.

On the competitive front, the studio confirmed the esports scene is entering its next stage, with a DreamHack Stockholm event on the calendar. It’s a sign that Team Jade sees Delta Force as a long-haul competitive title, not just a casual free-to-play romp.

When you can jump in

The best part of this roadmap is how much of it is available right now. Season Reorientation and the anniversary rewards are live, and the Detonation beta is open on PC and mobile. Everything else, from Siege: Valkyrie to Operator Quarters, is spread across late 2026 and early 2027. Delta Force is free-to-play, so there’s no cost to test the new mode or scoop up those anniversary tickets.

If you want the basics first, our Delta Force profile covers what the game is and how it plays, and if you’re weighing it against the other big free shooters, Call of Duty: Warzone is the obvious rival to compare it with.
