The latest Epic Games free game promo is Sid Meier’s Civilization VI. Civilization VI is the latest title in the grand turn based strategy game series and it’s completely free to download and play from the Epic Games Store. The game typically retails for $49.99, but it’s now available for free through May 28th. It’s also yours to keep… forever, no time limit, no catch.
To claim your copy you’ll need to download and install the Epic Games Store client. Once you’ve registered you should be free to add the game to your library and start playing. This free game promotion follows the hugely successful free game promo for Grand Theft Auto V.
The release of Civilization VI came in 2016. It is still actively updated. Six new downloadable content packs planned from May 2020 through March 2021. The content packs are included with the New Frontier Pass. They include new features include eight civilizations, nine leaders and six game modes. Civilization VI also has two larger expansion packs. Rise and Fall and Gathering Storm both of which add additional game play content.
As part of this free download, only the base game is available for free. The DLCs and expansions do require a purchase.

In Civilization VI, players will build up a civilization guiding them from the stone age through modern era and beyond. The game includes a number of historical civilizations to choose from. Game play follows the 4X strategy of explore, expand, exploite and exterminate. The overall game play is similar to Civilization V. It uses a hex based map where players found cities, build structures, move units and conquer enemies. THe game is available for Windows PC, Mac OS, iOS, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
